Yesterday afternoon, the School of Social Sciences welcomed political scientist István Gergő Székely, Research Director of Székelyföldi Közpolitikai Intézet (a research institute in Székely Land, Romania engaged in public policy) as a guest. The discussion focused on the topical political issues of the Hungarians living in Transylvania and the position of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ). Following the evaluation of the results of the municipal elections held in September, an overview was provided on the peculiarities of the campaign of the parliamentary elections due on 6 December 2020, on the strengths of the parties and their relations to Hungarians.

Thank you for the though-provoking discussion.
